In this industry, most of the time, you're dealing with emergencies. A customer is stuck in a garage... A mom has to get the kids to, or from school... So it's important to respond as soon as possible. 10, 15 minutes tops. But the sooner the better. Also, there's a lot of competition out there. So if you snooze, you lose.
How Long Does a Job Take?
It all depends on what I'm doing. It can be as simple as a 10, 15 minute lube and tune up service. Or fixing a motor, which could take an hour or so. Most services are 30min to 45. Motor installs, hour and half or less. Door Installs 3-5 hours.
Discounts for Senior Citizens and Military
I do offer a discount on motor installs when installed with a door. I.E. If a motor usually cost about $425, I'll install it for $395 with the door. I also offer 5% discount to senior citizens and military. My areas of work are about a 60 radius from Lathrop CA. That will adjust as time goes on.
